First Church of God has been ministering to the Charleston community for nearly 100 years under the leadership and guidance of the Holy Spirit and many faithful servants.

The first service took place in 1927 at a small hall on Jackson Avenue. In 1928, the congregation began meeting at Five Points. Unfortunately, a fire in 1948 destroyed the building, but dedicated members restored the basement for services where they continued to meet until 1964.

In 1964, the first building in our current location was constructed. In 1976, a second building was added to the facility. Many additional updates and changes have been made to the church over the years.

God has changed and restored many lives since that first meeting in 1927. By our submission to His leadership, we confidently expect His work to continue at Charleston First Church of God.
